Someone asked on Instagram why I have this photo as the cover photo of my home page of my website. For those that don't know, let me give the backstory. This is a photo I took of Bryan in Marrakesh, Morocco on his workshop in 2024 (Morocco #2). It was a true street shot. Not posed at all. Which makes me wonder, 'How do you pose a cat?' But I digress. At Bryan's request, I’ve been covering his workshops as workshop leader for the early 2025 workshops (Tanzania, Tucson, Tampa, Holland #1 & #2, Namibia). The 2025 workshops on my SSPW website are based on his fall schedule. I wanted to fulfill his wishes that his workshops be completed in what was to be his final year of travel workshops. Bryan and his writings have been a real mentor to me in my photographic journey and I thought this image made a nice tribute to him for giving me my start in photo workshops. I am humbled and forever grateful that he selected me to try to fill one of the HUGE photographic footprints he has made. Also, I truly appreciate the support from all of his students to join me in those original 2025 workshops. It's been quite a great ride.
