Our itinerary will emphasize touring the town using the free bus system, while also self-driven excursions to magnificent cemeteries and historic parks just outside the city.

On Saturday night, we’ll pick up a classic local hoagie and head to one of the city’s iconic overlooks to watch the 4th of July fireworks burst above the birthplace of the Ohio River.

This is prime puffin season—these charming birds are nesting, and you'll have the chance to photograph parents returning with fish for their fledglings. So pack your long telephoto lens and get ready to capture this delightful, cartoon-like seabird in its natural habitat.

This is a unique opportunity to capture stunning images of raptors in flight. These magnificent birds are raised and trained at a dedicated aviary located about two hours from either Toronto or Buffalo airports.
The setting has been specifically designed for photographers, offering clean, distant backgrounds to highlight the birds in action.
The workshop includes two sessions: one afternoon and one the following morning. Each session features six different birds in flight and four perched birds, giving you a variety of opportunities to photograph these powerful creatures both in motion and at rest.

In my opinion, the Finger Lakes region doesn't get the admiration it deserves. The rugged landscape has some very accessible opportunities for waterfalls and scenery. I moved this workshop later in the season to take advantage of the fall colors. With waterfalls as the main subject, this workshop will focus mainly on composition and long exposure photography. The same terrain that makes this amazing scenery will require moderate hiking on established trails. Transportation will be provided.

We’ll photograph sunrises and sunsets—and if skies are clear, capture the stars with some night sky astrophotography. This 4-day workshop will fly by, filled with inspiring coastal scenes. This workshop will focus on mastering long exposure techniques to create silky smooth water effects and capture the dynamic motion of the ocean. We’ll also prioritize shooting at sunset to capture the warm, golden light that enhances the dramatic coastal landscapes. In Additon to the coast, we’ll spend a full day at Oregon’s Silver Falls State Park, photographing 11 stunning waterfalls nestled in lush forest surroundings.
