Toronto, the largest city in Canada, is also among the most diverse in the world. Its multicultural neighborhoods, vibrant public spaces, and ever-changing cityscape offer a rich environment for photographers of all levels. From historic districts to ultra-modern architecture, lively markets to quiet alleyways, Toronto provides an endless array of visual stories waiting to be told. Cultural events, street performances, and spontaneous urban moments are always unfolding, offering both planned and unexpected photographic opportunities.
This multi-day workshop is designed for photographers who want to deepen their skills in street photography, architectural photography, and visual composition. Whether you're a beginner looking to strengthen your eye or a seasoned shooter seeking new inspiration, this workshop emphasizes the art of seeing—learning how to observe a scene with intention, anticipate moments, and create powerful, compelling images from everyday life.
Using Toronto’s extensive public transportation system, we’ll travel between photographic hotspots—including but not limited to the bustling downtown core, Kensington Market, the Distillery District, and the sleek skyline views from the waterfront and across the river.
There will be an emphasis on slowing down, observing, and crafting images with thought and clarity. By the end of the workshop, you’ll not only have a collection of striking photos but also a sharpened visual approach you can take into any environment.
